Sedan, SUV, Van or Sprinter: Choosing a Vehicle

By Noble Ball · Updated

Count passengers and bags first, then pick the category that fits both: a sedan for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags, an SUV for up to 5, a van for up to 7 and a Sprinter for up to 16. The request form hides categories that are too small.

Start with passengers and bags

The two numbers that decide the vehicle are the passengers and the bags. Count every traveler, including children, and every suitcase and larger carry-on. Folding strollers, golf bags and equipment cases count as bags too.

On the Noble Ball request form you enter both numbers before choosing a vehicle. Only the categories with room for that group are offered, so you start from vehicles that fit.

The five categories

Business Class: a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar, for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags. A common choice for one or two travelers on a business trip or an airport run.

First Class: a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags. The same capacity as Business Class in a larger sedan.

Luxury SUV: a Cadillac Escalade or similar, for up to 5 passengers and 5 bags. Useful for families or small groups with more luggage.

Business Van: a Mercedes-Benz V-Class or similar, for up to 7 passengers and 7 bags. Lets a team or an extended family ride together.

Sprinter: a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or similar, for up to 16 passengers and 16 bags. For groups traveling to an event, a venue or the airport together.

When to size up

If the group is right at a category's limit and everyone has a full-size suitcase, the next category up leaves more room. Child seats also take up space; you can request up to three in the ride options.

Keeping a group in one vehicle means one chauffeur and one itinerary, and everyone arrives together. One request covers up to sixteen passengers.

About the photos and models

Each category names an example model "or similar". Photographs on the site are illustrative only: the assigned vehicle is confirmed with your quote.
